Paul is a classically trained singer under the tutelage of one of the top voice teachers in the United States, Janice Pantazelos, director of the Chicago Studio of Professional Singing.

His voice has been described as “a warm, full bodied lyric tenor with high notes resembling the color of the Irish Tenors”.

Winner of the 2019 Walgreens Red Nose Day “Who’s Got Talent” competition for singing Puccini’s opera aria, Recondita Armonia, Paul has risen quickly in 8 years’ extensive vocal study- including over 30 recitals, concerts, weddings, and baptisms.

In addition, he has sung regularly as a cantor soloist at St. Josaphat church in Chicago. Though Paul loves singing opera, his church upbringing inspired his passion to sing for religious services and influenced his decision to become a professional wedding singer.

Paul’s first experience singing was in his church junior choir in Lansing, Michigan as a 12 year old student. Recognized for having an “unusually clear” voice, he sang solos during church services as well as for a musical. Always comfortable singing in a group or as a soloist, Paul really enjoyed singing in church. He was also moved by the sound quality of professional cantor singers he observed during wedding and funeral services he attended. It was a particular singer that he heard at his grandfather’s funeral which inspired in him a desire to one-day sing professionally as well.

In college, Paul sang with the Michigan State University Men’s Glee Club for 4 years. During that time, he toured numerous times for performances throughout the state, nationally, and in Europe. In addition, Paul sang solos at his hometown church while on summer breaks from school. It was during his senior year, while studying under the direction of Metropolitan Opera tenor, Richard Fracker of Lansing, that Paul was encouraged to pursue his aspiration to become a professional wedding singer.
